A big thank you to Julie DiMatteo for introducing this box to house my sets of A2 cards. Whether I am storing or gifting my cards this box is perfect for 6-8 A2 cards.

You can decorate the top of the box however you like. I like to decorate it to suggest what the cards may look like inside. The sides are reinforced so the box is sturdy and is a perfect fit for those A2 cards.

  • Granny Apple Green #147089
  • Memento Ink #132708
  • White Gel Pen
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Tear & Tape #110755

To make:

Fold all score marks and reinforce with bone folder.                                                                                  Start with the base or bottom of the box by holding it so that the 8-1/2″ sides are at top and bottom. At the bottom cut up each score line to second score line going across.  creating tabs with rectangles. On the bottom right hand side cut horizontally from edge to first vertical score line. You should have just cut off two rectangle from that tab. Repeat on the left side. The rotate and repeat. Once all the edges are cut the with the 8-1/2 side facing upward shorten the smaller tab so it is half as long. Repeat on all sides.

This is a templet to act as a reference. The “x” marks what you should cut off.

Then along the wider tabs place tear & tape. Remove the paper on the tera and tape.

On opposite side add glue to shorter tabs (as indicated on template).

Fold tab with glue to create the box corners. Then starting on the long sides of box, fold the tabs that have the tear and tape inward. Repeat with shorter sides. then with bone folder secure all folds. Now your box is reinforced.

Repeat the same sequence withthe lid of box. Then decorate as you wish.
