This week – June 16-22, 2024. my upline challenged us to create using these colors below.

So I did. I created this card.

Lately I have been drawen to the Country Birdhouse  Stamp set and dies. I just cant stop using them.

Soi I used:

Let’s Create

  •  With trimmer cut a top folding card base out of an 11″ x 8-1/2″ sheet of Basic White cardstock. Do this by placintg the sheet of cardstock in  trimmer with the 8-1/2″ side facing upward. Place the left side of the white cardstock on the 4-1/4″ mark. With the dark blade (that is in the cutting Blade) I slice the cardstock. This will leave two 4-1/4″ x 11″ pieces of cardstock.
  • Place one of these 4-1/4″ x 11″ pieces in trimmer with the 11″ side facing upward. With the gray blade score cardstock at 5-1/2″
  • Fold on scored line and with bone folder secure fold.
  • With trimmer cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock that measures 4″ x 5-1/4 “.
  • With trimmer cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3-3/4″ x 5″.
  • Place the birdhouse shaped  die on a piece of Smokey Slate cardstock and also place the small circular die on the birdhouse, this will be the hole or entrane to the birdhouse. Run this  through your cut and emboss machine.
  • Place the roof (the wider “L” shaped die) on a piece of Basic Gray cardstock. Place the thinner “L” shapped die on a piece of Basic Gray cardstock.
  • Also place the rectangular die on a piece of Basci Gray and run all these through the cut and emboss machine.
  • Out a Basic White piece of cardstock cut out (with the “L” shaped die that is scalloped on the inside of the “L” shaped) cut using the cut and emboss machine.
  • On a piece of basic black card stock use the  die that resembles a fancy pole that the birdhouse would sit on and cut it out with the approproate die.
  • Then place that birdhouse shape cut out in any embossing folder and run throught the cut & emboss machine.. This is to give the house shape some texture and interest.
  • Then I used my blending tool along with the white ink and blended over the house shape.  I like the weathered look it offers ,the birdhouse.
  • With the Bacic Gray ink, stamp the bird from the stamp set on a scrap of Basic White cardstock..
  • With Cherry Cobble ink stamp your desired sentiment. I used “Hello Friend” on a scrap of Basic White.
  • With the bird shaped die cut out the stamped bird.
  • Then with the Cherry Cobbler stampin blends color the breast of the bird.
  • With the light Smokey Slate stampin blends color the wings of the bird.
  • With the Petal Punch punch out some flowers out of scraps of basic white and chery cobbller crdstock.
  • I also punched out some leaves out of a scrap of green  cardstock

Okay let’s put this all together.

  • With the liquid glue adhere the -” 3-3/4″ x 5″ ” piece of Basic White to the”4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic Gray.
  • Then adherethese two layers to the front Panel of the Basic White card base.
  • I ahered a small rectangular piece of Basic Gray behind the circular hoe on the birdhouse so it resembled the inside of the house.
  • Then with liquid glue adhere the roof of the birdhouse that you cut out of Basic Gray. This is the wider L shaped cut out.
  • Adhere the scalloped  white “L” shaped cut out under the Basic Gray piece.
  • Then adhere the thinner gray “L” shaped cut out just under the gray roof and above the white scalloped “L” shaped cut out. This piece is to resemble the eaves  of the birdhouse.
  • Adhere the Basic Gray rectangular piece to the base of the bird house. I didn’t match mine exactly so that I would create a feed trough look.Adhere the black stand or pole for the birdhouse to the bottom of the white layer of the card.
  • Adhere the birdhouse you’ve put together on top of the black stand.
  • With dimensionals adhere your bird. I placed mine as if he was sitting on the feed trough.
  • Then adhere the flower punch outs where you like. I l;aced mine around the base of the house and the top of the stand.
  •  With dimessionals adhere your sentiment.
  • Lasltly place the Rhinstones around on the card.

Yay card is complete!
