I am always attracted to cards that look different  and are  attractive. I have discovered that the Faux Shutter Cards aka Fractured Cards are just that. They are different, attractive and interesting.

I  hope you are inspired to recreate one of these cards.

To create you will need:

  • An A2 size card base
  • A medium envelope
  • A piece of coordinating cardstock. I used one I cut that measured 4″ x 5-1/4″  of Early Expresso.
  • A shape that will house the sentiment of choice. I used an octogon shape
  • A sentiment stamp I used “Hello” from the Biggest Wish Stamp set.
  • Some 1/4″ x 6″ stripes that match the  4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of cardstock. Since I used an octogon shape I needed 8 strips. You will need a strip for each side of the shape you are using fo your sentiment.
  • Coordinating Designer Series Paper to be adhered onto sections or fractures created by the srips of cardstock around your sentment shape.

Some More I created.
