I am so drawn to the mini slim line cards these days. I was especially relieved to find envelopes that these cards fit in. I found the cards at the local office supply store and find so many reasons to make these cards.

This card was made by cutting an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White cardstock to 7″ x 6-1/4″. Then with the 7″ side of the card stock facing up score at 3-1/2″. Them secure the fold.

I stamped the inside with a sentiment and decorated with two of the smaller pansies I cut from the Pansy Petal Designer paper. (The Pa Pansy Petal Designer Paper pack includes a whole 12″ x 12″ sheet of various sizes and colors of pansies) If you don’t have the designer paper you could use the Pansy Patch Dies to cut your own.

Then on the front of the card I layered a piece of purple gingham (3-3/4″ x 5″) on a piece of Highland Heather card stock (5-14 ” x 4″),

I didn’t have a die or punch that resembled a plant pot, so I cut a circle (3″) with one of the layering circle dies out of Basic Black card stock. I cut one of the sides of the black circle so that it was flat. Tha made the circle appear as a roundish planter. I turned the piece of the circle that I had cut off upside down so it resembled the drain part of a planter and adhered it to the circle.

With more of the pansies, I cut from the designer paper I adhered them to the flat side of the circle. I used several pansies so that they looked like they were growing out of the pot.

Then I stamped the sentiment “Love you much” on the bottom.

Of course you can change out the colors as well as the flowers. But I think this make a pretty card that any one would love.
