I used two12″ x 12″ pieces of pink card stock and a 1″ x 12″ strip of the Sweet Talk Designer Paper (#157616 on page 9 of Mini Catalog) and pink ribbon from my stash to make the larger bag.

Here is how you do it:

  1. Score two  12″ x12″ pieces of  pink card stock (using two 12″ x 12″ pieces of designer paper will eliminate a step 4), score on three sides at 3″ of both pieces of card stock.
  2. On the fourth side score at 1 1/2″. This side will become the top of the bag.
  3. With your bone folder crease the folds. Fold the top piece opposite of the other three folds. This will become the outside of the bag.
  4. Cut two strips 1 1/2″ x 12″ out of designer paper. (If used a 12″ x 12″ piece of designer paper to begin with you can eliminate this step), Then adhere a strip to the 1 1/2″ fold.
  5. Now at the bottom of one piece of pink card stock (the side opposite the side you scored at 1 1/2″ which again is the top), cut out the left and right rectangle that was formed by the score marks. That will leave you with a larger rectangle in the bottom middle. Set aside.
  6. With the second piece of scored pink 12″ x 12″ piece of card stock cut along the fold marks at the bottom. Cut from outside to the score mark. This will create a tab on each side at the bottom.
  7. Now lay the single rectangle at the bottom of the appropriate card stock ontop of the rectangle of the other pink card stock (one with tabs on each side) and adhere. This will become the bottom of the bag.
  8. Fold the tabs inward. Put glue on them.
  9. Then glue one of the side panels to the tab. Hold till glue grabs. Repeat for each side.
  10. Then adhere the remaining panels so that a box is formed.
  11. At the top of the bag with your hole punch, punch two holes on front and two holes on back.
  12. Then thread an end of a piece of ribbon through one hole of the front and tie a knot so ribbon will not come out. With opposite end of ribbon do the same to the second hole on front. Repeat on back of bag.
  13. If you used designer paper you can elininate this step but if you used plain card stock you can now decorate.
  14. Add a tag and bag is complete.

*** to make smaller bag use a 10″ x10″ piece of Designer Paper or card stock and score at 2 1/2 on three sides and 1 1/4 on one side. Then follow steps 1-14.***
