This card was made using the tree punch listed on page 150 of the annual Stampin Up catalog.( Item #149521.) With the tree punch a tree was punched out of plaid Designer Paper. It was then adhered onto a 2″x2″ square of Basic White card stock. The Basic White square was adhered to a rectangle (about 3″x3″ square of Burgundy Mulberry Paper. The  adhered on to a 4 1/4″x5 1/2″ top folding card. A Christmas sentiment was stamped on the card and decorated with a Christmas sticker.

It was interesting to find out some facts about Mulberry Paper.

Design and create with paper made from the bark of the Mulberry tree. Mulberry paper, also known as Kozo paper, provides a luxurious foundation for many art, craft and design projects. The paper feathers beautifully when hand torn. 

Because mulberry paper has a neutral pH, it makes a wonderful art paper for long-lasting projects. The uses are almost endless: collage, painting, scrapbooking and more.
