Independence Day

This week July 4, 2021 I created a double page spread with the 4th of July in mind.

Each of the side bars were created using 2″x 11 1/2″ strips of Night of Navy card stock.  I used red alphabet/number stickers to indicate that the pages were  to share memories on the 4th of July. I also used an old fire cracker stamp inked in memento ink to decorate. At the bottom of side bar I placed some silver star shaped brads I had in my stash on some very small squares of Real Red card stock.

The blocks for the photos were created with layers of some Red and white star paper some one gave to me,  Night of Navy, and Basic White cardstock. I used some denim fabric to add some texture and interest. On two of the photo blocks I used the fasteners from some overalls to embellish.  On one of the blocks I use twine tied in the shape of a bow to embellish. On one of the photo blocks  (bottom right side of 2 page spread) i used 4 eyelets to allow the red twine to pass through and be tied.

Space was allowed for journaling once the photos were adhered.
