I was recently reminded of the plastic wrap technique and decided to create and share the technique with all of you. I used one of the new 2025-2027 In Colors but if you would like to recreate you can use whatever colors you choose.

Stampin’ Up Supplies

Directions

  • Take the 8-½” x 5-½” piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock and place the 8-½” side at top of your trimmer and score at 4-¼”. This card will be in portrait orientation.
  • On one of the 4” x 5-¼” Basic White pieces you stamp the inside greeting. I stamped “Thanks for being there” from the Impressions Abloom stamp set. I used the Strawberry Slush ink.
  • Then tap the clear block in the Strawberry Slush ink. Squish up a piece of the plastic wrap and tap the plastic on the block.  Then dab the inked plastic on the bottom of the piece of Basic White you just stamped a greeting on.
  • Then adhere the insert inside the card base.
  • Repeat the inking of the plastic wrap and dab on the other  piece of  4” x 5-¼” Basic White cardstock. Dab all around the white layer.
  • With the piece of plastic wrap also ink up the 3” x 4” of Strawberry Slush
  • Wrap the ribbon around the 3” x 4” piece of strawberry slush layer and tie a bow.
  • The ink dries quickly so then with dimensionals adhere the 3” x 4” inked piece of Strawberry Slush to the right side of the front of the card.
  • With the Strawberry Slush ink stamp the saying “poppin’ up to say” from the Terrific Toads stamp set on the strip of Basic White cardstock. I used Strawberry Slush twine to tie on the greeting.
  • Embellish as you wish. The 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls would be a great choice.
  • The card is ready for an envelope.

Have fun!
