I often use card sketches when my creativity is sluggish, when I want to use up scraps or ephemera from my stash, when I want to revisit some of my favorite retired products, or when I have new products and I want to play with them. So this Saturday Sketch satisfies all of the reasons I use a sketch.
I used this sketch and these measurements below:
I wanted to use up some of my stash and this is the card I created.
This is a simple card using items from my stash and a left over envelope from May’s Paper Pumpkin.
Paper Pumpkin is a kit only by subscription so I am very aware that you may not have the items I used for this car. But remember you can use what you have. That is the ease of a card sketch.

- The card layer #2 or top layer is a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of an envelope from May 2025 Paper Pumpkin.
- The largest circle is cut with a circle die from Spotlight On Nature dies. I used Misty Moonlight cardstock. https://www.stampinup.com/products/spotlight-on-nature-dies?demoid=2242482
- The small basic white circle that houses the sentiment is also cut with the Spotlight on Nature dies.
- The sentiment is is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. The stamp set if from May’s Paper Pumpkin.
- I also used twine from my stash. I added it because without it the card was very plain.
- I also added a banner on the top left of the card. This is not reflected in the sketch but remember we don’t have to follow the sketch exactly.
