I often use card sketches when my creativity is sluggish, when I want to use up scraps or ephemera from my stash, when I want to revisit some of my favorite retired products, or when I have new products and I want to play with them. So this Saturday Sketch satisfies all of the reasons I use a sketch.
This my version of the card sketch. My revised dimensions are below.
I changed the original measurements of the sketch that inspired me because I like these basic mesurements.
Card 3
Stampin Up Supplies
- This card is made using an A2 card base. The card is in portrait orientation and opens like a book (from right to left). It is cut from a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″
- The bottom layer that sits directly on the fromt of the card base (card Layer #1) measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. I cut mine out of the Brushed Silver and Gold Foil. https://www.stampinup.com/products/brushed-silver-and-gold-foil-12-x-12-30-5-x-30-5-cm-specialty-paper?demoid=2242482
- For the second layer I cut a card base from June’s Paper Pumpkin Kit to 3-3/4″ x 5″ . This provide a delicate gold design to the card front. https://www.stampinup.com/products/paper-pumpkin-subscription/?demoid=2242482
- I cut a 1/4″ x 3-3/4″ strip of that gold foil to resemble the twine on the first two cards.
- I used a circle shape from the Foiled Frames and Labels Ephemera Pack, that will house my sentiment. https://www.stampinup.com/products/foiled-frames-labels-ephemera-pack?demoid=2242482
- Used Demensionals to adhere my sentiment circle. https://www.stampinup.com/products/stampin-dimensionals?demoid=2242482
- I used a sentiment from my stash.
- I also used an old die to cut a foil bow. With a glue dot, I adhered the bow on the foil strip to the left of the sentiment .
